What is Case Nurse?
Software that turns a case’s medical records into a dated chronology where every entry cites its source pages. You review the draft, correct it, sign it, and export it under your own brand.
Will this replace legal nurse consultants?
No. Case Nurse does the sorting: reading every page, grouping visits, totaling bills, and drafting entries with citations. The clinical judgment, the corrections, and the signature are yours.
What if the draft gets something wrong?
Every entry links to its page, so you can check it in a click. Edit any entry, add rows from any page, hide noise, and resolve the flagged questions before you sign. If a date or provider is not on the page an entry cites, Case Nurse leaves it out rather than guessing.
What do I get at the end?
A signed chronology as PDF and Excel, a narrative chronology in Word or PDF, and a demand letter draft if your attorney wants one. All carry your practice name, credentials, logo, and contact details.
How big can a case be?
There is no page limit during the beta. Each PDF can be up to 2 GB and a case can hold many PDFs. Beta nurses have run record sets of nearly 13,000 pages.
How long does processing take?
A file of about 100 pages is typically ready in minutes. Very large record sets take longer: one of nearly 13,000 pages finished in a few hours.
What kinds of cases does it handle?
Personal injury, workers’ compensation, and long-running chronic care such as dialysis. Records can include ER visits, imaging, consults, operative notes, therapy notes, and billing statements.
Should I tell my attorneys I use it?
We recommend it. Many LNCs mention AI-assisted tools the way they mention any other software. What the attorney receives is your reviewed and signed work, with citations they can check.
What does it cost?
Nothing during the beta. After the beta, plans are $100 a month for 3 cases or $200 a month for 10; above 10 cases a month, we will work out a rate with you. Beta nurses get founding-member pricing, and nobody is moved onto a paid plan without choosing one.
Security and privacy
Is Case Nurse HIPAA compliant? Will you sign a BAA?
Our safeguards are mapped to the HIPAA Security Rule: records are encrypted, isolated per customer, locked away from staff accounts, and logged. Records you receive in discovery are handled under our Terms and Data Processing Agreement. Working with records straight from a hospital or provider, for example on defense-side work? Talk to us before you upload. Hospital pilots sign a Business Associate Agreement before any patient records are shared.
Do you train AI models on my records?
No. We do not train AI models on your records, and AWS, which hosts our AI processing, does not use them to train its models either.
Where is my data stored?
On Amazon Web Services in the US East (Ohio) region, processed in US regions. No service outside AWS receives your records.
Can I delete my records?
Yes. Ask us and we delete them, subject to the backup terms in our Data Processing Agreement. We do not delete records on a timer.
Do you have SOC 2?
Not yet. Our controls are mapped to SOC 2 and the HIPAA Security Rule, and an audit is planned. We answer security questionnaires and share documentation on request at security@casenurse.com.
For hospitals
Do you review our charts for us?
No. Case Nurse is software. Your own risk, quality, or peer review nurses do the review and own the conclusions. We organize and cite the record so they can start with the facts in order.
Do we need an EHR integration?
Not to start. A pilot begins on synthetic or de-identified records. Before any real chart is used, we sign a BAA and agree with your security team how records reach Case Nurse and where the work runs. Citations keep the chart’s original page numbers.
How does a pilot work?
Three to four weeks on review work your team already has, using de-identified records or with a BAA signed first. Success criteria and the next step are agreed in writing before day one.

Can I hire Case Nurse to do the review?
