How Medical Record Review Works

From upload to court-ready chronology in 48 hours. Four steps, zero guesswork.

“I used to print all the records out, put them on the floor, and sort through them by hand.” — Managing Partner, Personal Injury Practice

1

Upload records

Upload your medical record PDFs through our secure platform, built to HIPAA standards. We accept standard PDF files—the format you already receive from providers and facilities. No sorting, splitting, or pre-processing required; just upload the files as they are and the platform handles the rest. Cases up to 1,000 pages are covered at the standard $500 rate—for larger cases, we'll provide a custom quote.

2

Automated extraction

Our technology reads every page and identifies dates of service, providers, diagnoses, treatments, medications, and billing information. The system also extracts billing line items and calculates total medical expenses across all providers, giving you a complete financial picture of the case. Findings are organized into a clear, categorized timeline with ICD codes and page references.

3

Nurse review

A licensed registered nurse reviews every finding the AI extracted. They confirm accuracy, reject false positives, add clinical context, and flag pre-existing conditions versus injury-related conditions. The nurse also catches handwriting misreads, OCR errors, and ambiguous entries that automated tools miss. Nothing reaches you without trained medical eyes on it.

4

Ready for court

Review an interactive, hyperlinked chronology with page references for depositions and trial prep. Switch between category view to see findings grouped by type and chronological view to follow the full treatment timeline across all providers. Every finding links back to its source page in the original document, so you can verify any detail in seconds.

What's in the finished chronology

Every completed chronology includes the following, reviewed and verified by a licensed registered nurse:

The chronology is delivered as an interactive web report designed for fast navigation during depositions, mediations, and trial preparation. Attorneys can share the report link with co-counsel or use it directly in case meetings. Every finding is verified by a licensed registered nurse before it reaches your team, so you can cite the chronology with confidence knowing a trained medical professional has reviewed the underlying records.

Built for personal injury litigation

Case Nurse is designed specifically for personal injury attorneys who deal with medical records from multiple providers across months or years of treatment. Whether your case involves a single ER visit or a complex multi-year treatment history spanning dozens of facilities, the platform processes everything into one unified chronology. The combination of AI extraction and licensed nurse review means you get both speed and accuracy—no more choosing between fast turnaround and reliable results.
